I like puzzles in games, and the uncharted games (esp 2 and 3) miss quite a few opportunities for some puzzle solving which of a slightoy different type than is typical of these games.

In Uncharted 2, when you're infiltrating the museum (at the begining of the game) you have to turn off a couple of security alarms. Now everyone who knows security alarms knows that there's a code or pin you need to enter to turn the alarm off. But instead theres a huge red switch that Drake merely flicks and hey presto: puzzle solved.

In Uncharted 3 very near the beginning there's an anagram: "LONG HIDDEN" that Drake needs to solve. But do you the gamer get to solve it? No Drake just solves it by cut scene.

Don't get me wrong, there's some good puzzles in Uncharted, a major step up from the mere moving around of big stone blocks. But there was lost opportunity to add more brainteaser puzzles, which is a shame, because there were obvious opportunities for more cool puzzles.

Still great games. But I hope they don't auto-solve any puzzles if/when the next Uncharted game comes out.

BTW I want a Beyond-and-Good-and-Evil-like spin off for Elena. After all she was in Nepal and Yemen in UC2 and 3. What was she doing there during the time she wasn't hangin' w Drake?
