P.S- I volunteer.

I'm sorry but I do not leech off society. I do not resort to crimes and while I did got bat shit today its because I wait all year to buy the stuff I want.

Buying 1000 dollar on electronics is leeching while on welfare,

Look the main reason I am going so ballistic is the statement that I am leeching or that most of those accepting welfare or disability are leeches. That is why I brought up my volunteer work and what I contribute to society because I am definitly no leech as others suggest of myself and others on welfare/disability. In fact you have to wonder who the real leeches are (If we are)? Isn't the one percent that makes so much money doing less work then everyone else, making that money by selling stuff for as much profit as possible to the people who make next to nothing. The companies that sell products for a profit that they make in a third world swet shop then sell to American's who can't afford it. Or the people who run or work at Banks and get poor people or middle class folks and take every dime they've got.

A Capitalist Society is full of leeches if we go by those standards. Every successful person in North America is successful because of those who aren't. I mean I once recently heard this pretty boy lawyer with his fancy sports car tell my buddy who is a construction worker that he's scum and needs to get a real job. This is what pisses me off, the rich wealthy guy who makes his money by talking a few hours a day thinks because he makes more money that somehow he deserves a better life then the construction worker who works 12 hour days in the heat making barely crumbs. Really isn't every single American actually a leech on the rest of the world who are a leech on everyone else. Look if you classify someone as a leech for accepting some assistance from taxes, what do you call the millionares and middle upper class people who make all their money selling stuff to people for more then they know its worth? When a company turns a 20-40% profit on something how can you get upset that your little 12% taxes or what ever is helping out some poor guy so he can get a job or who can't find one.

Look what I'm trying to say is its really easy when you aren't poor to call the poor guys leeches (Which you never called me but said I am leeching). But your own job is likely taking advantage of somebody else and leeching off of them. Calling anyone a leech is just hilarious I don't consider every wealthy person a leech, rather they were intelligent and they worked hard they happened to get lucky. I can call them greedy but I don't think they are leeches as they contribute to society. But if your not going to call the upper class and middle class leeches you really can't call the lower class leeches. The welfare users aren't leeching anymore off of you then Bill Gates is when you buy a PC or the bank is when you pay that 5$ transaction fee or Best Buy/Walmart or even your local store is when they sell you something at a profit more then operating costs.

If you truly want to say your not a leech in some way? Well go buy a farm and eat the food you make, build the house you want with your own two hands and live off the land. That is about the only way you can claim that you are in no way a leech.

Joe, again, it's not wrong to be on social services, good luck with all your problems and troubles, but where you spend the money on.. your smarter then that.. spending 1000 dollar on games, movies etc isn't a smart thing to do, thats like 2 videogames a month, even I don't buy 2 a month. you could have saved it to improve your living with your dad or something like that.. I'll probably (hopelfully) see none of my (tax) money spend into the  system back personally, it's not my money anymore, it's for the people who need it more then someone who spends it on videogames. you shouldn't compare to immates but to that single mother of 3 children who is on welfare. be wise where you spend the money on in the future.. that's all we are saying.

Yes I am smarter then that, but I have been in foster care half my life and when I wasn't my mom was poor dirt poor my whole life I have seen my mom work extremely hard and I work extremely hard. Yet no matter how hard I work and no matter how hard my family works and my friends with disabilities and such our lives can never improve without winning the lottery or taking a massive risk.

I have struggled with extreme depression in the past. Video games have helped me a ton with that, my psychiatrist when I was younger actually ordered my mom to make me play Pokemon. He said it would improve my math skills, social skills and keep me occupied and control my anxiety etc...etc... Movies and games are a passion of mine and are essential in making life bearable.

You might not buy 2 games a month. Also considering I have bought four games all year pretty much other then the few I just bought on Black Friday that is not 2 games a month. The movies of course are as well.

(Taxes) your absolutely right but my money that was seized was not taxes. It was my income and had I saved that money I would probably still have money left right now based on my spending habits.

Lastly a mother and her three children, do they deserve to be treated worse and live worse life styles then a murderer? Or really any criminal who is stealing , killing or comitting a crime that gets them thrown in jail? Even if you took away all of the perks prisoners get in prison the TV's etc....etc... It still costs more to keep someone in prison then it does to pay the welfare of a citizen.

Also you really don't know my situation all that well. I live in the cheapest peice of shit apartment for a reason. In BC the law is that the rent can't be raised by more then 25$ a year with existing tennants. I am one of the oldest tennants in this peice of shit. We already save 300+ rent on our apartment because we haven't moved. The managment tries to get us out because they can rent our apartment for 899$ a month and we currently pay 620$ combined. Say I had saved that 1,000$ it wouldn't have improved my living conditions at all maybe I could have bought some better food then what I eat. But in reality what would that 1,000$ have improved? The cheapest one room apartment I could find rents for 459.99$ a month and is way on the other end of town without bus service and such. I can't move.

In the end the movies and games do benefit my life better then almost anything else I could have spent it on. My mom freaks because I usually only eat one meal a day, she said I could eat more but honestly I have lived off of a meal or less a day for years and guess what I'm horribly obese. The fact is this is improving our lives in a way that the money probably couldn't be used else where. Cost of living is just so high these days if I wasn't already taking advantage of the cheap shitty rental apartment and the sales I really wouldn't be able to live.
