So many launches crammed in 2011 and 2012, why shouldn't Sony wait for 2013 to launch PS4? Sony stated it doesn't want to launch "TOO MUCH LATER", but this doesn't rule out "just a little later", less than 1 year could be fine and September 2013 could be perfect.
