#42. Killer Instinct Gold (N64)
C-C-Combo Breaker! That famous phrase that you either loved or hated depending on who was on the receiving end of it. Frankly, I don't how Killer Instinct Gold holds up today because I've yet to find a way to replay it but from what I remember it's one hell of a game, the combo system is was got me hooked, I spent many many hours perfecting the art of linking moves to extend your combo and when I think back at the list of special moves these characters had, I wonder how I was able to pull it off.
With this game I continued a weird trend I have of always maining female characters in fighting games, for KI:Gold it was Kim Wu, Maya and Orchid (but I did play Saberwulf and Jago too). My favorite mode was the one where you built a team and you fought your opponent until you killed all of his team with ultra or ultimate combos.
