That's the worst thing about those old school re-release games for the PSN, XBL, and VC. Time and time again, I'm reminded that my youth isn't as awesome as I remember. You think, "Everything was better, then.", but that's not the case. Everything from Sonic 1 to Final Fight, to Bonk's Adventure use dated play mechanics and repetition and have a hard time holding my interest.
Sometimes, you just can't go back. You have to keep moving forward.
