Wow ...

Looking at numerous responses here, it's clear to me that a lot of people here don't like the realities of the world that we live in.  I'd imagine many of you are young.  I remember when I was younger how I ignored the signs that Sega as a hardware company was in serious trouble.  And then, one fateful day, I pulled up Gamespot on my PC and saw this.  I was at a complete and utter loss.  Devasted.  Sick to my stomach.  Why?  Because I was unprepared for what all of the signs said could happen when it actually did.

You guys can immaturely attack the OP or other posters here all you want for simply sharing what economic experts and analysts have said, but it doesn't change the reality of the situation.  YOU need to prepare for the possibility that the Sony of the not-too-distant future may be very different than the Sony you love right now.  The economic problems of this world are great and many, and it's foolish to think that everything is going to just work itself out and be better.  Don't live in denial.  Be prepared for what could happen so you're not left at a complete and utter loss, devasted and sick to your stomach.

Because it's clear that for a lot of you, when it comes to the possible future, {click here}.

you think Sony is going to end up like sega......ok that I'll laugh at

look, NO-ONE is saying Sony doesn't have tough times ahead, and no one is saying they don't need to do anything about this, but the pretending like this is the end of the world *see sensationalist thread title for proof* from literally, the SAME people (you being apart of that crowd) gets annoying after awhile, especially as been said before, hardly anything comes from this

You're doing it too.  Stop responding emotionally and actually read what I said with your brain.  I never ONCE said that Sony is going to end up like Sega.  Not once.

What I'm talking about is this prevalent thinking among some here that think this will all work itself out and everything will be fine.  I was the same ignorant way back when the Sega news took the breath out of me and I'm trying to warn people not live in the same type of la-la land that young Darth Tigris was.  These are REAL problems and the economic problems that we're seeing in the countries that have driven Sony's success cannot be ignored as well.  Heck, things may get so bad that you'll be more concerned about your family eating than what's going on with these giant companies that really don't care about you.

Emotionally, you see a sensational headline.  Intellectually, I see a statement of fact.  While it may not necessarily be a harbinger of doom for Sony, it's should be a heads up to Sony fans that things are not good and some serious changes will likely be necessary if they are to get better.  You have no control of those changes and the possibility remains that those changes will alter Sony in a way that may hurt your feelings...
