I'd like Gears' story more if it wasn't so boring for me that I literally either put down the controller after 1-2 hours or want to goto sleep after that amount of time, but the game play mechanic in those games are good and the MP is good. Uncharted is more a jack of all trades that does everything really well. From what I've played though, BF3 PC MP, Tribes Ascend, and Firefall kill them both in the game play department as far as shooters go (that means I won't spend much time on MP with Gear3 and U3,) so the decision from my end would be their single player experience(Gears3 and U3,) and I have to say: Gears3 SP is dumb, Epic knows how to craft a game with good game play mechanics, but as far as story goes, it's no better than Halo without their ridiculous books. It's the difference of "The Expendables"(things blow up real well) to "Saving Private Ryan"(good overall) when you compare Gears 3 and U3 SP. That's all I have to say as a guy with options.
