49. Medal of Honor: Allied Assault (PC)

Here in 2011, the chances of me actually playing a new release like this are slim to none, but back in 2002 I still occasionally dabbled in the military FPS genre. This game stands out above the rest for one reason only, the Omaha beach landing level. This is one of those levels that you will always remember playing, it starts with a simple black screen and the date of the mission, which then slowly fades up to reveal you're on the final approach to the beach. Once you hit the beach, everything is just chaos, there's bullets flying everywhere, and regular explosions. It took me a good few attempts to slowly work my way up the beach on my first playthrough, and that's probably what increases its memorability.
