There won't be a World War under the current political systems in the major powers. It would require a collapse of either the Chinese or American governments into a more authoritarian system or the rise of another major power to cause a World War. It used to be you'd essentially go to war for economic reasons, now going to war would destroy a very much worldwide economy and so war probably won't happen.
