Is religion still relevant in modern society?

I understand you have a hard time reading what I say because it's completely the pole oposite of your POV. But if I'm reading everything everyone on here is saying, and some opinions pole opposite of mine, and re-reading it, but you barely read 1% of my text, how in the world can you legitimately call me closed-minded?

Listen, there is one basic rule in forums okay. People who take the time to read, meditate their posts and write articulately should be given a measure of weight and credit. I've been a member on here for more than 2 years, have provided my fair share of rational opinions and have proven my worth in general on VGChartz. When you make posts trying to exclude me from the debate, it doesn't coincide in any way with the reputation I've tried to build here, as a religious member or not.

I'm not reading 99% of your stuff not because I don't want to, but because I can't. I often skim through like every other post of yours and even then I'm bombarded with logical fallacies that I can't seem to avoid.  I don't read 99% of your stuff because 1% of your posts are still 100% of my daily dose of frustration. 

You need to understand I don't have a hard time discussing with you because you disagree with me.  I have dozens of friends who disagree with me.  I'm friends with religious people, right wing people, pro life people, and plenty of others who are more than capable of providing an alternate viewpoint without being irrational or using twisted logic.  Some of my best friends are people who disagree and argue with me just for the sake of providing a polar opposite view...and I respect them because they're capable of doing so by using logic.  I heard a better anti-gay-marriage argument from a pro-gay-marriage person than I ever did from a homophobe.  what I'm trying to say is that despite all your attempts to assert yourself as a logical, rational person, I'm saying you're deluded.  Sadly such a phenomenon is not uncommon, I deal with a LOT of people who are incapable of following logic and instead are only interested in pushing their agenda.
