Outside that... being Guyana it could really be ANY religion.  Anti-gay sentiment in Africa really doesn't have a religious base and is more culturally viewed as wrong.

Doh, I confused it with Ghana.  Regardless, it's only like 57% Christian and south america where homophobia is rampant against in all circles, again partly due to aids.

That's why like 90% of the population is anti-gay and sees Aids as the gay disease?

Guyana was a colony of the British.  Not the Spanish or Portugese.

 

I thought we were talking about the South American region in general. It's the region with the largest population of catholics in the world. AIDS levels are also not very high in South America in general, if I'm not mistaken.
