Yeah I always wonder about Zelda/Mario reviews if they are accurate or if the reviewers just have their nostalgia goggles on too tight. 

For sure, if you took a Mario game and swapped the characters for some new original characters instead it would never get the high scores it gets. People whine about all the COD games being the same but how many times does Bowser kidnap Peach and you have to go save her from a castle, its even the exact same plot for Mario Land 3DS.
