In somewhat related news, the German magazine M!Games gave Super Mario 3D Land a score of 88 which is by far the lowest one they have ever given a 3D Mario game. Although admittedly, handheld games in general score a few points lower than console games. For reference, scores for previous 3D Mario games were: Super Mario 64 (96), Super Mario Sunshine (93), Super Mario Galaxy 1&2 (95 each).

Gotta defend GamePro, IIRC correctly, they called Xenoblade "the best RPG of this generation on any platform".

And honestly, the jagged edges and somewhat muddy textures got to be good for something if You are going above the 90 mark :)

If that game had AA and sharper textures it would probably have been 95+
