Nah.  Companies will just complain that it only "looks" like there was no change (or actually probably downward sales) because of a mass unproven increase in piracy... on the basis that clearly they should be selling more, therefore it's a problem.

This is true. DRM will be key in that case... Someone will figure out fingerprint scanner for the controllers. If it isn't your fingerprint on the DPAD, game doesn't boot.
