This article doesn't show an emphasis only on gay rights rather human rights including religious rights. As such I am supportive of this, if it had just emphasized gay rights but ignored the many other human rights violations in these countries then I would be pissed. But if all human rights are an issue then I am completely supportive.
Fact is all western nations should be doing this. Egypt needs to stop its human rights violations as does Pakistan and many other countries which the UK and US offer aid.
Also those saying not to meddle in other countries affairs. Giving aid to those countries is meddling in their affairs. Fact is those countries scream and shout don't violate our sovereignty yet they beg for our countries money. Fact is if we are going to send money to these Governments then they should meet our humanitarian standards! If they don't then we shouldn't send any money!
