Expect a nice price cut just before Black Friday. Microsoft is just waiting for MW3 bundles to go through their 2 weeks of sales and then BAM, $50 price cut across the boards.

I really doubt that will happen. What's more likely is a hard drive upgrade (4GB -> 12GB, 250GB -> 320GB)

still not sure what MS planning

MS does have 15 million planned for it's fiscal year ending June 2012 (Sony also has 15 million planned for it's fiscal year, but that ends March 2012). Anything can happen, but MS does not have to do anything this fall to make that 15 million. I'm thinking they might do retail sales (like $50 off at every major retailer) to bring up hype and sales, and then properly cut the price next fall.

And you believe that a price cut would push the sales of x360 significantly?

Not too significantly. Maybe as good as the boost PS3 got in July? Maybe a little stronger because it's the holiday season, and some people may be holding out on one after seeing the PS3 price cut.

My best case scenario is 360 matches PS3 WW sales this year, but I really doubt it will get the difference any less then 500k. That means at most, I think 360 will regain a 1 million lead, and even then that's much, unless it gets the price cut.

lets wait and see, i'm curious as to how things will turn out. I'm also curious to see if MS has anything up their sleaves.
