Well, I think the key difference is that Sunni muslims make up the majority of the muslim population, whereas mormons don't. But, I'm not claiming to be some expert on Islam (I tried reading the Koran, got bored by the fifth page). I read into the hadiths, and you're right, it doesn't specifically forbid his picture.

That doesn't defract from the overall point I was trying to make, though, in response to his comment. Look at my above response to see the point I was trying to make.
