I actually ditched crappy at&t a year ago and went with time warner cable. I went from paying around 40 dollar a month for less than 10 mbps download / 1 upload to paying 40 dollar a month for 20 mbps download / 2 upload. When canceling they tried to offer more mbps but was still about 6-8 mbps less for 40 dollars. I asked the representative why would I stay if you still can't even match time warner in speed for the same price. Obviously, I couldn't get a good answer.
