Why is it troubling to some and joyful to others when Sony will report their quarterly loss? Is it really a surprise that every Japanese company that has been radiated in Japan/flooded in Thailand/currency-exchange-derated (if such a word even existed) in the past months posts a heavy loss this time of the year?

I guess they like to see the companies they hate make a loss. Most people don't think about the fact that it's not the people up top that are as affected as the regular families putting food on the table that suffer the most from these losses when jobs have to be cut. That's one of my other qualms when fanboys want one of the big three to pull out of the industry. Many people are making a living trying to feed families.
