If the video showed a kid whailing on some other random kid who wasn't gay, this story wouldn't get nearly the attention it is for the victim being gay. |
The reason why you it gets such attention is because, due to anti-gay feelings which are common in that part of the world, you can't help but wonder if the bully would've gotten only a 3 day suspension if he had beaten up a non-gay kid. And believe it or not, but people actually grow out of bullying people because they wear glasses or are fat (kids can pick on anything), but people don't grow out of homophobia (or racism).
