what are the advantages to having lots of humanity, i never bother using them as i die so much but if they will be usefull later it would be good to know

Higher drop rate and higher curse resistance.

Chaos weapons damage scales based on humanity too.

You need to give humanity to rank in some of the late game covenants too.
