Badgenome made a very convincing argument for me to vote in this topic.

Favorite Protagonist

1. Gabriel Belmont
2. Shanoa
3. Richter Belmont
4. Cornell (shut up)
5. Alucard

I would have put Soma Cruz at number 5 but he looked like some kind of breed of dog in Dawn of Sorrow.

Favorite Antagonist

1. Dracula
2. Satan
3. Zobek
4. Death
5. Graham Jones

I didn't want to include more than one Lord of Shadow, even though they're far-and-away the best-written villains in the series. Yes, this in spite of the sorta-double-vote that I just did.

Favorite Boss

....are you kidding me? This series is like half bosses

Hold on, hold on.... uh....

It needs to be acknowledged that the Metroidvanias tended to be much better when it comes to boss fight, in that the traditional 2D games had very hard bosses but the bosses (outside of Dracula) usually weren't the highlights of the games. The 3D games - particularly Lords of Shadow - are better about that.

I'm going to keep this to one boss per game.

1. Albus (Order of Ecclesia)
2. Cornell (Lords of Shadow)
3. Doppleganger (Symphony of the Night)
4. Werewolf (Rondo of Blood)
5. Death (all the time, everywhere)

Favorite monster

THIS IS EVEN WORSE WHAT THE HELL

1. Persephone (Aria of Sorrow)

Best version of the best kung fu vampire maid ever.

Favorite weapon

1. Vampire Killer (all)
2. Red Minotaur Soul (Aria of Sorrow)
3. Demon Crystal (Lords of Shadow)
4. Doves (Rondo of Blood)
5. Sonia Belmont punching Dracula in the ding-a-ling

Favorite Musical Track

1. Bloody Tears (Rondo of Blood)
2. Bloodlines (Castlevania 64 version)
3. Waterfalls of Agharta (Lords of Shadow)

I think that covers most of the spectrum.

Favorite Castlevania game

1. Lords of Shadow
2. Order of Ecclesia
3. Rondo of Blood
4. Super Castlevania IV
5. Symphony of the Night

Favorite Moment

"So... He has abandoned you, too? So be it. Join me. I will love you more than He."

Actually I just really appreciated Lords of Shadow as a moment in the Castlevania series; taken on the whole it was very nice to get a European perspective on all of this legend and myth being dealt with, and the intensely Christian grounding of Gabriel's character made him more relatable on the whole.

Least Favorite Moment

The first time I see a Medusa Head in any of the games.
