Because the games were reviewed by two completely different people 2 years apart...

A game reviewer is meant to tell you what they think of the game and their experiance with it, if you just want to know what the developers set out to do then you can watch trailers play demos and read developer interviews. Movie games accomplish what they set out to do, that doesn't mean they deserve  9-10 review scores...

Well said. A lot of people seem to be under the illusion that Eurogamer (and others) is like some kind of hive mind, when in reality it's a collection of individuals. One of those individuals gave U2 10/10, a different individual gave U3 8/10, and I'm left wondering, so what?

There are many critically acclaimed games that I don't see the fuss about or even go so far as hating, and I'm sure the people bitching have plenty that they don't see as utter perfection either, which means they're just the same as the guy who reviewed it when all is said and done.
