Exactly what HappySqurriel said. I played EQ2 at launch and it hardly ran on my system. I couldn't group because it would bring my system down to a crawl. Single player and co-op went very slow and felt a step back from Everquest 1.
I went back to it with the Kunark expansion, gameplay was better by then and I had a new pc that could handle it. However we were already heavily invested in WoW so that remained our main mmorpg.
