Even with the price cut ($169) 3DS is still more expensive than DS was at launch ($149) or launch alinged ($129).  The cut was necessary, this is the price 3DS should've launched at.

If Sony had been as quick to price correct this past gen they might not have been stuck with PlayStation 3rd Place.

About the PS3, second or third is only meaningful to fans like us at this point, the difference between the two spots is meaningless in actuality.

And to the main point, I agree it should have launched less.  I'm just trying to sober up the posts that are acting like this is the greatest launch ever, the 3DS will be fine but that's a bit much.
