Dude are you kidding? This gen is probably the most critically acclaimed generation yet

It's much higher quality than 15 years ago that's for sure (about 93/100 top games on meta are from the year 2000+)

Ocarina of Time and Link to the Past? Are you saying that Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword are(will be) better then these 2 games?

Times and standards change I guess, big budget games then had to do a lot to get real appreciation. Original Tomb Raider was seen as pinacle at it's time. How do you think this game would hold up on modern ratings and standards?

A great playable game will always be like that. My 3 favourite games are from 96-97 and I keep going back to them.

What if Skyward Sword is better? Isn't there any possibility for it to be so? Or is it fixed in some dogma that ALTTP and OOT are supposed to be the pinnacles of Zelda games? 

That's a bit of a close-minded perspective. My favourite console is the SNES and I always find myself going back to playing Lufia, ALTTP, Chrono, FFVI, The Secret of Mana games, Secret of Evermore...the list goes on and on. But just because it's my favourite console with some of my favourite games of all time, doesn't mean that modern games can't surpass them as well.
