Don't be sad, its just my opinion. I think its too repetitive for me the, landscape is the same everywhere. The story disappointing. I was very surprised that that game got so many awards and stuff, but I think it won't be that lucky this time around. From the reviews I could see that a lot of people liked it, but that was 5 years back. The level design needs to be improved by a huge margin for it to be anywhere close to a GOTY. I don't have that kind of faith in bethesda because all their games rely on repetitive landscapes. What usually makes their games great is some kind of variety in quests and unfortunately oblivion failed to provide that imo. But very few iterations of high class franchises seem to get average reviews so I will probably be wrong. |
lol im not sad it was just a sad face
Hmmm yeah the graphics, the dungeons, the open planes etc. are kinda samey and perhaps even the towns are kinda samey. The main story, agree again i didnt even play the main storyline. But id group those issues under "irritating aspects".
I bought the game because it got all those awards from reviews, and i just wanted to see what the rave was about. I was dissapointed at first. Id like to know how much time you spent on it? You also say it doesnt have variety...that to me indicates that maybe you couldnt stomach the game long enough to truly experience why people love it (i duno im just guessing here apologies if im wrong). But the game had the most variety id ever seen in any game. And its not meaningless variety it variety that actually is different and gives a different experience. I think they spent a lot of time actually working on the various guilds and the storylines and gameplay that goes with each guild, and thats maybe why other aspects of the game was lacking.
Anyways this thread is about Uncharted, so maybe we a bit too off topic. But id say you should give Oblivion another go...and definately atleast give skyrim a chance.
