Well, for now, it does seem no. The biggest example to support that is Halo 3. Huge launch, pretty much everyone who owned an Xbox360 bought it, and it convinced more people to buy the console. But now, as you can see, the Wii simply brushed past it unaffected. Even now, if you look at Wii's library and compare it to the Xbox360/PS3's library, you'll see there's a wide gap in the types of games yet the Wii continues to outsell both systems. I could continue on with this but too lazy right now...
