It's just another example of why video games have a long way to go to get the same respect as movies.  In Star Wars, Luke, Han, and Leia gget eaten by a giant space worm, put on little plastic space masks, and walk outside--everyone thinks it's awesome.  In Gears, one little helicopter gets eaten by a giant penis and everyone loses their mind!
