| lestatdark said: Also, I forgot to add this in reply to the OP: If you think Lightning weapons are the highest damage output in the game, you're dead wrong. Even without considering the fact that Lightning damage can be mitigated a lot (a 720 Lightning Zweihander +5 only does 220 damage to my character, with the two-handed R2 attack), nothing beats the shear damage that a Great Club +15 with 60 STR (337 base + 240 scale) + Crystal Magic weapon does = 820 attack. Pure physical, not that split damage crap that Lightning weapons have. I've hitten people with it at SL 150 for 700 damage a piece. Backstabs of 1200. Go on, try to tell me Lightning weapons are the most OP out there, I dare you ![]() |
One of the points I was getting at is how much spec is required to outdo lightning. It takes alot. Honestly I don't wanna see lightning weapons turn into what dragons weps were like in Demons Souls - useless after a short period of time. If anything, I'd rather see the really hard-hitting weapons have their requirements upped so there isn't mages running around with 600-700 damage weapons.
It might be easy to say lightning is fine when you're SL150 but tbh, I haven't even got upto that point yet and not sure if I plan to since SL 115-125 was the unofficial pvp range in Demons Souls.
As for TWoP/Fog Ring peeps, can't say that I've had much success at beating them. I've tried high armor sets but really, TWoP just seems way too damn powerful in combination with other things. If it doesn't take that much of a hit in the next patch, I could definitely picture myself using it. No flask-usage for invaders seemed really awesome at first but it hardly matters, they just use humanity. My first pvp encounters while trying to get through the game were fine, but eventually people just started playing downright dirty - even when I do manage to get a TWoP guy really low, they just run their asses off with me unable to chase. They run far off into npc's and use humanity to heal at full then come back and repeat. If they see whatever spell spam they're doing isn't working out, they just wail away with lightning weps while I'm unable to roll because of TWoP.
It'd be really hard to convince me that TWoP isn't a broken skill. I'm sitting at SL109 right now and it's likely that if it doesn't take that much of a hit from the next patch, I'll probably be (ab)using it.
@ A203D,
Unfortunately, framerate isn't really something that can be fixed. It's here to stay. I will say though that I wouldn't hate blight town anywhere as much as I do now if it didn't slow the game down to a snail's pace.
