See,this takes place in the Rub' Al Khali, which is in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia is cleaner, way more modern than what you're seeing in the trailer, and the average person here can afford a luxury car (usually American, South Korean and Japanese SUV's). Maybe I'm not taking certain underdeveloped parts of Saudi Arabia into consideration, but from most cities I've seen/been to, it's not even close to what was shown. So I'm guessing this takes place in the 1970's or so.

You probably don't care, but those scenes in the game look like something you'd see in:

- Yemen

- Iraq

- Underdeveloped parts of Levantine countries

- Most African countries
