Its easily in the top 3 and perhaps even still #1.

Its not #1,  it hasnt been for some time now. And definitely only Top 5 and maybe out of that by now. God of War III, Killzone 3 and Gears 3,  all have it topped quite easily.

I agree. Gears 3 most definitely has not surpassed UC2. It may come close in some parts but thats about it.

IMO Killzone 3 is the consistently best looking console game out. Rage would be the best (not by much though) if it looked as good close up as it did from a distance.

i said this in some RAGE thread, but i will say it here to.

i think that if RAGE was a 30 Hz game instead of 60 Hz, then it would have a really really good shot at being the best graphical game out there (on consoles)


I'm not sure how people are so amazed by RAGE. Its one of the most inconsistent looking games I've seen. Texture popin all over the place and low res textures living side-by-side with hi-def ones. I honestly don't get it.

For the driving sections there might be a case, but not IMO for anything else.

The reason why people are so amazed at Rage is because 1. It's one of the most fluent FPS games you can play (60 FPS) and 2. At it's best it has really amazing graphics that are top of the line. The inconsistancies are rather lame, especially the horrible pop-in but if you can get over that it's an awesome experience.
