Lol is that Dance Central hate in here?
Both DC and JD target a different audience. Both games are really good at what they do and those who like them have a lot of fun.
The op isn't DC's target and it shows. First you don't know DC at all, the game requires you to dance for real and I mean all your body needs to do what the game asks you to do. JD you could play sit on a chair and only wave your wrists and the game would still think you're having the time of your life. I'm not saying JD is a bad game but it's for those who don't want to dance for real or simply don't know how to. Parties are not better with JD it's just different as anyone can pick a pair of Nunchucks and wave them all around and score big heck you could even strap them to your dog and it would still work. So it really is for "ANYBODY".
Parties with DC are different, I recon that if you don't know how to dance you'll have to learn and like all human beings you may look silly while doing so but guess what, some people have fun even when they look silly. It all depends on what you consider being silly. I think I look silly when I "pretend" to be dancing when playing JD. I don't have as much fun as I have playing DC, it's all a matter of taste.
Motion gaming is really hard to review because it all depends on who reviews the games. If you're some fat dude that never exercise or even if you're not fat you just don't do much movements I understand that games that require your whole body to move won't be your cup of tea and games like JD will allow you to have more fun while not doing much.
People that do a lot of exercise will be soar after a session of Kinect games yes, but they are used to doing a lot of exercise so it will be more fun to them to do more movements than just waving wrists.
