I’ve never totally gotten the appeal of Wii dancing games, though clearly there are a whole ton ofJust Dance fans out there who disagree. This new ad for Harmonix’s just-released Dance Central 2takes a humorous dig at Wii games and their obsolescence in the face of full motion-tracking. Honestly, while truly compelling Kinect games are few and far between, watching this ad reinforces the fact that there is no greater hardware out there for dancing games. Though it must be said, when I play Dance Central 2, it’s less “cool, attractive dude and girl playing together” and more “goofy guy dancing around in his apartment by himself”. But the potential is there! The points you are making is really good and I have to say dancing Just dance on WII is totally different than dancing Dance central.
Going to the point where you say that dancing by your own as a guy at home is goofy I have to agree on that too, but I can look at it differently and you indicate that with the sentecne after. Invite some people over a mix och females and males put on some hip-hop clothes and just show them what you got. In some way I have noticed having that mix makes it much more social and the embarresements disappear to some degree because of the reason you are having fun and maybe having a mini challenge against each other.
So it kind of goes back to the point that is this game for you because maybe you know by yourself you will look like a failure and doesnt want that then I would say its less likely that you are going to buy the game.
After all we should keep in mind this isn't really pointed to the hardcore which would be the ones for the big part who will feel embarresed so I kind of have to say something that is obvious "they are going after the casual players"
