I believe it came out near the beginning of last holiday season.
For me is definitely Dark Souls, although I find myself putting down controller in despair when I keep dying consequtively, I still think this game is frigging awesome.
I've got a feeling I am going to sink many hours into BF3 though, probably one of the few whom enjoyed the Beta, barring the map design.
