Just for clarity, the corruption is not a key differentiating factor here, neither Stalin nor Mao used to swim in golden pools and they were not exactly obsessed with living in luxury. What's much more important is that it's just counter-natural for human being to value social good more than individual gains, we are not some brainwashed social insects like ants, we're healthy individuals. Surely, there is a place for altruism in nature, but note that altruistic behavior is for loosers anyways, such alturistic beings exists only to support the main population. And capitalism is the most effective way of putting our individualism to work.
