My thought's exactly! And Windows 8 is supposed to be a powerhouse tablet OS so if they start releasing tablets next year with this functionality and support for their new console... BOOM.

My only gripe is that this makes me take my eyes off the TV completely in order to look at it, which I don't like. Next I'll be mounting my phone/tablet device either to my TV or controller to remedy this :p

I can already see the after market items like stands and fasteners to help make this happen. There is an invention idea for you, a universal flat panel display side mount for phones/tablets.

 

Oh and this is pretty freaking cool too.
