You heard wrong....Its a popular myth supported by the fact that 25-30 fps is the minimum required to suggest to the brain its seeing movement.

The eye is an analogue device and as such can contrast and compare to some pretty staggering digi equiv numbers.

Its an analogue, organic device designed to process analogue data from an analogue world.

If you cannot see the difference between 30 and 60 fps you need to go and see a doctor or optician. Probably both.

As I said I'm shortsighted and colorblind (I know, it sucks to be me). So I get an altered image anyways. I'll never know what it's like to see things as their meant to be seen. Sigh...
