And btw, you talked about PS360 + motion controls vs Wii in your thread, are you saying that the post was completely sarcastic and that you don't really believe it? (seriously, I can't even tell anymore -_- *ouchmypoorbrain*)

The original post of that thread just put several common fallacies in one post, so yes, it's pretty much completely sarcastic. In order to believe that PS3 and 360 motion controls would harm the Wii, you would need to believe that motion controls were the reason for the Wii's success. A lot of people apparently do, but they are wrong.

Any piece of video game hardware is useless without software. Software is the more important part of the equation, because it gives the hardware a purpose, a reason to exist. Move fell flat, because Sony and third parties failed to give a compelling answer to why people should buy that motion controller. Kinect was pushed by a huge marketing campaign that led to record sales initially, but since then not much has happened. The Wii was sold out for more than two years in America, Move and Kinect didn't even come close. They lacked the software to do it. What's actually moving PS3 and 360 hardware are the usual suspects, so neither Move or Kinect were even necessary for Sony and Microsoft to pass the Wii in weekly sales after Nintendo decided to give up.

Well that clears things up, and it makes sense

@underlined, I still can't believe they let something like this happen (the past year's Wii lineup), I got tired of having no games to play on console and blew all my 3DS money on a PS3 (For me it's console gaming first, handheld second) - Now I can't get a 3DS till the holidays, but at least it'll have a bunch of great games by then >_>
