The Silent Chief

While public betas for multiplayer games has become a common practice with many developers over the past few years, don’t expect EatSleepPlay’s latest endeavor to follow the trend. In response to a question on Twitter, director David Jaffe confirmed that they have no plans to offer a beta for Twisted Metal.

We are doing internal beta now for Twisted. No public one however. We are using beta to test tuning and XP rank up speed and such. Not looking to release what many folks call a beta now (aka a demo…altho some betas also serve as much needed stress tests) cause the market as such that I feel many MP beta/demos actually hurt sales in many cases.

On a separate matter, when asked if Twisted Metal will include an online pass like numerous games are adapted, Jaffe tweeted that ( as of October 9th ) ESP has yet to have been given the “official word” from Sony on that issue.
