Ocarina of Time deserves its own thread, in my opinion, but I'll keep it simple: there's no reason this game didn't age well. I STILL play NES and SNES games because the controls were tight and the 2D looked good, the N64 tended to try so hard to make every game 3D that the controls suffered, the graphics looked blocky and ugly, and they were horribly unrefined. there are almost no N64 or PS1 games I can stand to play due to how clunky and unnatural they felt. Ocarina of Time suffers from this problem, as does Mario 64, Goldeneye, the original Smash Brothers, PErfect Dark, etc. Hell, FFVII/VIII/IX are amongst my alltime favorite games, and I am in no way a graphics whore (I consider visuals to be one of if not THE least important thing in a game), but I can't stand looking at those horribly blocky, ugly atrocities they call character models or playing using that stiff control.
I swear I'm the only one who has anything negative to say about Bioshock. I could hardly play that for more than an hour before having to quit. I just couldn't get into it.

You just gave yourself the answer why OoT didn't age as well as NES and SNES games. The step to 3D graphics was taken too soon and the technology wasn't really ready at that point in time. As such the fifth generation is comparable to the second one. If you have no nostalgia for second generation games, then there's really no point to give them a chance, unlike third generation games which still can rack up respectable sales in this day and age. Modern 2D titles, NES and SNES games, they can all be a blast to play. Modern 3D titles and fifth generation games is another story. The N64/PS1/Saturn games (the 3D ones) feel just as archaic as Atari 2600 games in most aspects.
Bioshock wasn't all that great. I wish you could go back to previous areas, but the game was pretty linear. Still though, one of the best FPS in years and pretty much the only one I actually had the motivation to play through.

This.
SNES games play and look great, those graphics aged superbly, N64... meh...
