unlike you (it seems) I do play games from all genre and all systems..growing up platforming games were what I had to play the most :S I can't even remember the names but almost all past mario games, sonic games, R&C, Viewtiful Joe etc etc were some franchises I have played, from the top of my head. even this gen, i have played nsmb, Dk, LBP, shank, SMG1, R&C etc. I only have a ps3/psp/ds combo but I have access to wiis and 360s whenver I want them. hence I have played all Halo games and Gears 1 and 2 this gen. So I do have a good idea of what I'm talking about. not sure where this 'i tend to avoid' accusation comes from..out of your ass again I presume? or any proper reason why?

btw..have you even played GTA and POP games? the recent ones? cuz you CAN fall and they don't 'correct' your direction. you do need to time and precise. not even sure what you are talking about there. it's just different type of platforming with different aim. doesn't mean it's 'casual' geez >_>

your whole argument has fallen into a ok fine it might be master of somethings but im sure it's not for platforming but even that not sure cuz i have no clue about the franchise scenario. which is kinda sad..you should have just left it failing at being witty (you really should leave that to people like badgenome, lately you seem to try too hard). you have nothing to back up your original claim..and doubt you ever will.

oh and the example i used of xx game belonging to genre a and also b bit..don't take it too litterally. was just random genre i put there. i'm sure you are smart enough (hopefully) to get the point

Gears of War, that's the game all TPS are judged against nowadays.

The accusation is based on your outspoken dislike of Nintendo games. Besides, anyone who has played plenty of platformers in their life knows that the modern Tomb Raider and PoP games have watered down platforming. Nobody who looks for platforming gives these games a serious consideration. Yes, you can fall in these games, but the timing and precision needed to get past the platforming sections is anything but strict and the PoP game from 2008 is even accused of playing itself. You can also miss your target in a shooter with heavy auto-aim, but that doesn't mean that the assistance the game gives you doesn't exist or that such a shooter is equally as demanding as a shooter with no auto-aim. What we are talking about here isn't even a gray zone, the platforming in TR and PoP is vastly inferior to proper platformers, period.

I don't bow out of arguments by pretending that I made a joke when I wasn't. That would be dishonorable.

You should type what you mean instead of putting something out there and letting people guess what you might have meant. A mistake like typing GTA instead of TR... well, that one anybody can figure based on the context of the previous posts. But if you inject new points into a discussion you better make sure that they are coherent.

As for giving a good proper answer, this requirement is kinda hard to meet going by your standards. You tend to shrug off points you don't like by saying "I won't go there/don't waste my time/you don't know what you are talking about" instead of giving even the slightest bit of explanation why that is.

by speaking of saying things in a clear manner, what do you mean by gears of war? have you played the series? if so at least to your half baked knoweldge of UC, where does it fall behind as a tps?

being clueless is your thing it seems...you jumped into accusations even without knowing anything properly..again. but hey, what else is new from ya :P i am outspoken about wii...don't like the system or the games on it..imho one of the worst consoles i have ever seen..but that's due to personal preference...i own and love my ds, have mentioned it many times too. get your facts straight. going by your post history i should have jumped to conclusion you were attempting a failed trolling attempt against sony..but i just merely guessed its you failing at being witty as usual instead.

pop in 2008 sucked, that's fo sure. BUT have you played those games? 0_o honestly, just like with uc..doesn't sound like it.

you made a statement, s0 stop being childish and put forth proper arguments without failing to be funny as you usually do. your standards of failing and running away should be kept aside at least for once. it is kinda sad...even for you. so tell me...what are the reasons, behind your initial statement. you haven't played the game, you have no experience in games like that either.
