I dont get it.  When I got out of school and couldnt find a career, I worked at the damn bookstore for $8.50 an hour until I found a well paying job.  It would have been more demeaning for me NOT to work, than to work for barely over minimum wage.

One thing that can happen, with individuals who say have an advanced degree, is they go to work at a convenience store or book store, the person whio sees them with their degree will feel they are overqualified, and not hire them.  Things like that do happen.  It is life.

I had that happen to me too.  The first place I saw that was hiring (about the same salary) was looking for people in school and did not want me.  They have every right to not want me.  Was I happy about it? of course not, but I still kept looking and found a job.  Of course it happens, but to let that keep you from continuing to look is ridicoulous.
