To label it strictly a shooter is wrong. The platforming aspect of the game is just as important as the shooting. In fact I'd even say the platforming defines Uncharted more than the shooting.

When people think back on Uncharted, they're going to think of the platforming sections more than the shooting sections. Scaling the train on locomotion, Jumping from truck to truck in convey, climbing that long sword statue, jumping out of the collapsing building, etc are all defining moments in the Uncharted series. Probably more important than any shooting scenes in the game. Definitely as important as the shooting scenes.

Even if you don't believe the platforming is more important than the shooting, which it is, you can't deny that the platforming defines Uncharted just as much as the shooting. Therefore, when labelling the game a genre, you should NOT leave out platforming.

It's a platforming shooter, or a shooting platformer. Take your pick.
