Well my two favorite shows aren't making new episodes anymore so I won't count them (According to Jim/24).
My favorite show currently on the air has to be Terra Nova with Big Bang Theory a very close second. Fact is while I enjoy the half hour of Big Bang Theory more immediately Terra Nova keeps you wanting to come back each week. It offers a deeper plot and is based on a much more interesting concept.
My favorite show this season would have been Play Boy Club, I loved the show after the premier a good conspiracy series about covering up a murder. It had more plot twists in the first three episodes than many series have in a whole season. Great character development attached you to the characters their goals and ambitions.
But it would appear the rest of North America did not see Play Boy Club in the same light considering its extremely low numbers. I'm guessing the name and the fact it was on a prime time network lead to the downfall. I recently saw it suggested the program should have been on HBO or ShowTime with more provocative adult content. While I don't think the adult content would have improved the plot it would have added more realism to the series and it wouldn't have faced the horrible publicity and public back lash it did being on a network seen as family oriented.
