No offense, but people have been claiming PC gaming has been dying since before you even knew what a PC was.

Okay... Why would that cause offense? PC Gaming has started to die recently IMO. Sales suck in comparison to consoles and PS4/720 will do anything a PC can do and more apart from some games with better graphics. And then after next gen streaming will probably become the standard and there won't be much need for the latest GPUs.


Where do you get your PC sales numbers? I'm curious because I'd like to know them.

Did you know almost 4 million people have bought Minecraft, before it's even out of Beta? 15 million users, 4 million payed. And this is a game made by one man.

Did you know Starcraft 2 sold more than 1m in the first 24 hours and more than 3m in its first month?

Did you know WoW has more than 11m active subscribers?

Did you know CS 1.6 has more than 50-60k simultaneous users most of the time and it launched in 2003?

Did you know Star Wars: The Old Republic currently has more than 530k preorders in Americas only with 12 weeks to launch?

Did you know Portal 2 sold most on the PC?

Did you know the PC version of BF3 will be much better than the console versions?

Did you know the PC version of BFBC2 is the most active one and has sold more than the PS3 version but less than the 360 version?

Did you know that Diablo III comes out next year and Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm most likely too?

Just a few examples why PC gaming is nowhere near dead

I could also name piracy and how that makes most multiplatform games have the most players on PC - they are gaming (although not paying)
