It's okay, Soriku. Your tastes will develop in time. I listen to them mainly because their music just makes me feel good all-around my well being and soothes me. That and the "Solitudes: Exploring Nature with Music" collection I own (of 147 albums on my laptop lol).
Funny thing is (with the YouTube videos of A New Journey) when their A New Journey concert came on PBS, it was REALLY funny the night it was shown. I was in college in my dorm room with my room mate. He listens to rap, hip-hop and R&B, but he didn't know what to expect. He sometimes leaves his TV on BET* (to annoy me at a great extent) and he falls asleep while their programs are on. Well, it was during the evening when the PBS special was on and he said it was fine that I could watch it (since he had a better TV than mine; mine was only used for my GCN at the time before I got a Wii). But once the concert started, it kept him up for the past 2 and a half hours. LITERALLY. Every 10 minutes he would go outside to smoke some cigarettes and try to sleep. I know it annoyed the hell out of him too because I could tell.
"The girls are banging hot," he said, "but I CANNOT sleep with their music!!" lol And he leaves BET* on all the time while I'm trying to study or take a nap after class. Best payback ever.
