No MGS4, ZOE3, SO4, GT5, FF XIII, FF Versus XII, DMC4, KH3 (PS3).

Those games will let the domination of PS3 begin in Japan, not this game. It probably will sell well though.

Currently, Zone of the Enders 3, Star Ocean 4 and Kingdom Hearts 3 have not been announced for the PS3 ... Metal Gear Solid and Devil May Cry are not that big of series in Japan, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue has performed dratically worse than Gran Turismo 4 Prologue, and we still don't know when Final Fantasy will be released.

I totally agree with the first statement.  Ego will be the deciding factor for those games, and much as the yen/dollar will be.  The second statement is debatable but yes there have been bigger games than DMC and Metal Gear Solid has had its ups and downs.  But the last statement is slightly flawed.  One, if looking at sheer numbers, yes GTP4 did better than GTP5 at this point.  If you are looking at the attach rate for the two, GTP5 is better and that not evening knowing the download numbers.  Do the math yourself.  Like I said before, Sony knew it wasn't going to sell systems but it was going to provide game advertisment and capitial for the full game, like most demos do.  As for Final Fantasy, I think they know that it won't be out this year  but they are working on it, and you know they are looking at the Last Reminant as a testing tool for wheather or not PS3 and even X360 are lucrative platiforms this generation.  Not to mention, FF games have been their show piece game.  They are forever trying to show how powerful and impressive they can make that game series look.  Of course this has cost them to lose focus on fun and playablity of the games.  I means all those cutscenes in FFX was horrible and I am scared to play FF12.

I'll explain the relevance of the comparison between Gran Turismo 4: Prologue and Gran Turismo 5: Prologue ...

Gran Turismo 4: Prologue sales were roughly 70% of Gran Turismo 4's sales in Japan, and it is highly likely that a lot of people who bought GT4:Prologue also bought GT4; it is also very likely that people who bought both of these "versions" of Gran Turismo would be the most dedicated fans of the series and the most likely to buy a PS3 to play Gran Turismo 5 on. The fact that Gran Turismo 5: Prologue's sales are so much lower than Gran Turismo 4: Prologue's sales implies to me that we should see a similar drop from Gran Turismo 4 to Gran Turismo 5; if I'm correct and Gran Turismo 5 only sells between 500,000 and 600,000 units in Japan it can't really be classified as that big of a game anymore.
