Oh and additionally an issue is that by making race a factor you may inadvertently put in minority students heads they they don't deserve to be here and are only there because of the color of their skin....
even some of the ones that would of gotten in anyway.
It kinda reminds me of the story of Wahneema Lubiano who went to a regular college but was intimidated by a racist comment made by her guidance councilor which put too much pressure on her forcing her to drop out, and not realize her potential until she went to an all black school.
