I didn't know it had drawn inspiration from WP7. But if you want something similar to what you have on your 4" touch screen, on your TV... Then I suppose you can enjoy it.

Current dashboard is fine. Stupid, un-needed changes like this have always annoyed me

Seems alot of you don't have a clue what Microsoft are actually doing.

Windows phone, Xbox 360 and the new windows 8 all look identical. Everything is unified and interaccesible. So this is not design for kinect, although kinect is intergrated to it. This is also how windows 8 is looking. This interface is getting huge praise and wipes the floor with the current dashboard in both ease of use, resource on system and functionality.
